ⓘ What do the party and ideology labels mean?

On the ballot, partisan candidates run under a party — in Wisconsin almost always Democratic or Republican, with the occasional third-party or independent candidate. Words like progressive, conservative, libertarian, or democratic socialist are labels people use to describe themselves, not separate parties on the ballot. A label is a starting point; each candidate's sourced positions show where they actually stand.

    • Wisconsin deserves reliable energy, reasonable utility bills, and a stronger public voice. As your state senator, I will push for two PSC reforms: • **Expand the commission from three members to five**, bringing expertise in consumer advocacy, grid reliability, utility finance, agriculture and land use, and local government. • **Require a three-year cooling-off period** before commissioners take leadership or lobbying jobs with companies they regulated. Commissioners already receive six-figure public salaries. Appointees from both parties have moved into utility leadership. We deserve confidence that public service comes first. I’ll also push for tougher scrutiny of rate increases and protections against shifting data-center costs onto existing customers. **Serving on the PSC should be a commitment to the public, not an audition for the next job.** #FlemingForWisconsin #PSC #UtilityReform #RatepayerProtection

    • *Make Life More Affordable* Working families deserve a break. Scott will fight to lower everyday costs, support tax relief for working people, including tips and overtime, and return surplus tax dollars to Wisconsin families to help ease the cost of groceries, gas, childcare, and other essentials. #flemingforwisconsin #Affordability #TaxRelief #WISenate
