ⓘ What do the party and ideology labels mean?
On the ballot, partisan candidates run under a party — in Wisconsin almost always Democratic or Republican, with the occasional third-party or independent candidate. Words like progressive, conservative, libertarian, or democratic socialist are labels people use to describe themselves, not separate parties on the ballot. A label is a starting point; each candidate's sourced positions show where they actually stand.

ⓘ How do I read these campaign-finance numbers?
Individual contributions come from people; PAC (political action committee) money comes from organized groups. Cash-on-hand is what a campaign has left to spend. Money shows who is backing a campaign — it is not an endorsement by us, and more money does not mean a candidate is better.

I am beyond honored to have Dr. Kristin Lyerly's endorsement in our mission to become your nominee on Tuesday, building on the critical work she did in our district and beyond in 2024, and continues to do daily. Kristin ran a campaign in this district that showed what is possible when a candidate leads with integrity and shows up everywhere. She earned trust across all corners of the district, and she is trusted for good reason. To have her support heading into Tuesday means a great deal to me and to this campaign. We are going to keep doing the work she believes in.

Honored to have earned the endorsement and support of State Representative Lee Snodgrass. Lee has spent years fighting for her district and for Wisconsin, and she has shown what it looks like to lead with conviction and never lose sight of the people back home. The way she represents her community is exactly the kind of leadership I intend to carry with me to Washington, and let it guide how I show up for this district. Grateful to have her in our corner.

The race to decide Wisconsin’s Democratic nominee for governor has captured the state’s (and some national) attention. Don’t forget there’s also a primary for the WI-08 Congressional seat for the first time in 20 years. Rick Crosson, one of 3 candidates on the ballot, has forged genuine relationships with all of the candidates running for governor. No matter who becomes the Dem nominee, Rick is ready to unify and fight to win that race for Wisconsinites, to ensure Tom Tiffany gets nowhere near that office. Rick is also ready to flip the congressional seat. So, tomorrow, while you’re voting for Kelda Roys or David Crowley or Francesca Hong for Governor 홍윤정 or Joel Brennan, please vote Rick Crosson for Congress. Learn more ➡️ RickCrosson.com

With just over 60 days until the midterm election, Tony Wied announced a tele-town hall this Monday night. Almost 2 years in office and zero in person town halls, he doesn’t seem to plan to start showing up now. I’m showing up. NOW. Not only after I get elected. Congressman Tony Wied is invited to join us at any time. We’ll save a chair. Follow here for updates and details or go to RickCrosson.com. These are only the beginning. Watch this space. Then join us in person. No telephone necessary. (But there may be a live stream or two). #ShowingUp #NortheastWisconsin #WI08 #whereswied

Last night, I attended a public hearing to discuss a data center moratorium on a very real, planned data center in Tigerton, a small village in Shawano county, along with State Senate candidate, Gillian Battino. Tigerton is a 700 person town, and its residents turned out last night to talk about a proposed data center. One comment that resonated: “If I wanted the noise of a city, I’d live in the city.” Another, “How did they pick us? Did someone throw a dart at a map?” There was a lot of concern in that room about what happens to their small rural haven of a community. There was also real tension. Some people want the financial benefits that may come with a data center, benefits some feel their survival depends on, while knowing the trade off in the long term means environmental damage, a nuisance to their peace, and a town that may no longer be livable. What I told them: seek out neutral expertise. Not the developer’s consultants. People who answer to the community and can explain what this means for your water, your power, and your land. This needs legislative action at the state and federal level. My opponent voted for legislation that removes red tape and makes it easier for these data centers to progress at a rapid pace by accelerating federal permitting and environmental reviews that will bring irreparable harm to communities like this one. Local control means communities should be able to make informed decisions about what is best for them without being strong armed by powerful corporations back by millions of dollars. The impacts of data centers will not respect village boundaries. As Wisconsinites, we all need to stand in support of our neighbors on this critical issue. The moratorium passed last night. But the work is only beginning for Tigerton. #datacenter #WI08 #rickcrossonforcongress #showingup
