ⓘ What do the party and ideology labels mean?
On the ballot, partisan candidates run under a party — in Wisconsin almost always Democratic or Republican, with the occasional third-party or independent candidate. Words like progressive, conservative, libertarian, or democratic socialist are labels people use to describe themselves, not separate parties on the ballot. A label is a starting point; each candidate's sourced positions show where they actually stand.

I’m proud and humbled to share that I’ve been endorsed by the WI Nurses Association. For over two decades, I’ve been at the bedside as a nurse. I’ve held the hands of patients who were scared. I’ve advocated for people who were disabled and couldn’t advocate for themselves. I’ve watched families navigate a healthcare system that makes them weigh care options or pick alternatives because finances are tight. The Wisconsin Nurses Association’s mission is to be the voice and principal advocate for the nursing profession and to positively impact healthcare across our state. That mission lives in me every single day I put on my scrubs, and it’s exactly why I’m running for State Assembly. Nurses see what’s broken in our healthcare system before anyone else does. We see the deductibles that keep people from filling prescriptions. We see the gaps in rural care access. We see the toll that short staffing takes on patients and caregivers alike. I’m not just running as a candidate who talks about healthcare. I’m running as a nurse who has lived it, who has fought for my patients for years, and who is ready to bring that same fight to Madison. This endorsement means the world to me because it comes from the people who truly understand this work. Thank you, Wisconsin Nurses Association, for standing with me. Let’s keep fighting for a healthcare system that always puts people first. #WI38 #NursesForTerri #WisconsinNursesAssociation

We’ve got to find a solution for people whereby they pay for affordable health insurance coverage and when it’s needed- they can also afford to use it! It’s ridiculous to pay high premiums and still pay high deductibles AND EVEN FURTHER pay additional out of Pocket co-pays and uncovered costs! We only get one life and it can’t be borrowed or loaned from anyone else like a commodity. Voteterriwenkman.com #voteterriwenkman #wiassembly #votewi #district38

Mental health is health. Wisconsin legislature should reflect that. That’s why I’m proud to be a 2026 Mental Health Now Candidate. This isn’t an endorsement, it’s a public commitment to advancing mental health policy if elected, and it’s one I take seriously. We have to remove the stigmas that inhibit people from reaching out for help and taking care of their mental health. It should be just as socially accepted as seeking treatment for any other health concern, because it is one! September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, but honestly, this issue doesn’t take a month off for me. I’ve watched it touch people close to me, and I’ve seen it show up again and again in our communities in District 38. As your candidate for State Assembly, I’m committed to fighting for real, increased access to mental health resources in rural neighborhoods like ours where the nearest provider can be an hour away, waitlists stretch for months, and costs can be burdensome. Rural Wisconsin deserves the same access to care as anywhere else. Mental health is not separate from physical health. It never has been. Our legislature and our healthcare policy need to start reflecting that reality, not as an afterthought, but as a priority. If you or someone you love is struggling, you’re not alone. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 — call or text 988. #MentalHealthNow #WI38 #SuicidePreventionMonth

Proud to be endorsed by the Wisconsin Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (WI BAC)! 🧱I’m running to fight for working people, and I believe every worker deserves a fair, competitive wage that lets them support their family. Let’s keep building a Wisconsin that works for everyone. #vote #wiassembly #voteterriwenkman #wibac

I keep thinking about how many of our neighbors are relying on places like the Watertown Food Pantry right now. Pantries like this one and others across WI are holding our communities together. Giving children and families a BASIC need- Food! But they shouldn’t have to carry the weight alone. We need an economy with good paying jobs. That means helping our farmers expand into new markets so they can compete. It means investing in economic development that our communities actually choose for themselves. And it means restoring worker rights, so at the end of a hard day’s work, you’ve got a paycheck you’re proud of. The real solution to food insecurity is funding Wisconsin based food sources and investing in our local economies to create good paying jobs! #Voteterriwenkman #wiassembly #vote #district38

I’ll be at Madison College (MATC) campus in Watertown on Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30 PM for the AAUW Meet the Candidates event, and I’d love to see you there. This isn’t a debate. It’s a chance to talk one-on-one and in small groups about what matters to you: our schools, what things cost, and keeping our communities safe and healthy. Come with your questions and your concerns. I’m there to listen. Free and open to everyone. Thank you to the AAUW of Wisconsin for putting this together. 💙 📍 Madison College (MATC) 1300 W. 🚫 No 765 Line! 🚫 Yesterday I attended the No 765 Line rally at the capitol. I made my stance clear on the matter, and spoke on my concerns regarding the intended power line. I want to make my opposition clear, and will continue to advocate for my community and their concerns now and in Madison in the Assembly. #voteterriwenkman #wiassembly #district38 #no765line
