In the last days of this race, over $180K was dumped into my opponent's campaign by the so-called "American Patriots" PAC. This PAC is anything but patriotic and has paid for deceitful attack ads, which falsely claim I did not vote for President Donald Trump in 2016. It's funded by crony capitalists like Paul Singer, whose dirty dealings destroy towns in rural America, like Sidney, Nebraska. Singer left this town of approximately 6,000 in shambles when he eliminated nearly 2,000 jobs by merging Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop shortly after purchasing shares in the company. Now we know why Derrick has been hiding and why he refuses to debate me. The establishment recruited and moved him to our district to run for office months ago, and he has already been bought by predatory crony capitalists who destroy rural America. He can't be trusted.
