ⓘ What do the party and ideology labels mean?
On the ballot, partisan candidates run under a party — in Wisconsin almost always Democratic or Republican, with the occasional third-party or independent candidate. Words like progressive, conservative, libertarian, or democratic socialist are labels people use to describe themselves, not separate parties on the ballot. A label is a starting point; each candidate's sourced positions show where they actually stand.
How we do this →ⓘ What is a voting record showing me?
A roll-call vote is a recorded yes/no vote in the legislature; 'aye' means yes and 'no' means no. A 'deciding vote' is one that changed the outcome. These are the candidate's actual recorded votes, linked to the official record.

I REJECTED Governor Evers' $3.7 billion tax increase and fought to pass $1.5 BILLION in TAX CUTS! ✂ The vast majority of tax relief will go to the middle-class because hardworking Wisconsinites deserve to keep more of what they earn! 💵

ICYMI: I met with David Nycz, president of the Lake Nokomis Lake Association to discuss the residents' concerns about Eurasian Milfoil. I've called on the DNR to stop blocking their efforts to rid the lake of this invasive plant and get back to working together like they're supposed to and had been for years. I stopped by Geiss Meat Service, LLC in Merrill to chat with Andy and Steve about the business and what I can advocate for in the state budget. My staff and I appreciated the tour and enjoyed hearing about future plans. It's great to see a long-standing business like Geiss continue to grow with such strong support from the community. While I was there, I also had the chance to say hello to Pam Steffenhagen, who was working the counter in the retail shop. She thanked me for the retirement note I sent her two years ago after she wrapped up 31 years of service with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office -- what an incredible career!
