It was great to be at the ribbon cutting for Associated Builders and Contractors’ new Center for Apprenticeship Excellence. A four-year degree is not the only path to a successful career. We need to do a better job of making sure people know about the opportunities available through apprenticeships and skilled trades. As your Representative, I’ll continue supporting apprenticeship programs and legislation that expands these opportunities. With my background in manufacturing, I’ve seen firsthand the impact manufacturers and the businesses that support them have on employees and communities. They provide good-paying jobs and are a critical part of what keeps our local economy moving. Wisconsin has the most manufacturing jobs per capita in the country, but we’re also the 13th most regulated state. We need to take a hard look at the red tape that makes it harder to do business and make sure our tax policies encourage companies to invest and grow here. I’m running to bring my manufacturing experience to Madison and be a strong voice for Waukesha’s manufacturers and workers. I proudly served our country in the United States Army with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. After my honorable discharge, Courtney and I made Waukesha our home. Since then, I’ve built my career in Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry, where I’ve seen how high taxes and excessive regulations hold back businesses, workers, and economic opportunity. As your State Representative, I’ll fight to lower taxes, cut red tape, encourage new investment, and strengthen Wisconsin’s economy.
