ⓘ What do the party and ideology labels mean?
On the ballot, partisan candidates run under a party — in Wisconsin almost always Democratic or Republican, with the occasional third-party or independent candidate. Words like progressive, conservative, libertarian, or democratic socialist are labels people use to describe themselves, not separate parties on the ballot. A label is a starting point; each candidate's sourced positions show where they actually stand.
How we do this →ⓘ What is a voting record showing me?
A roll-call vote is a recorded yes/no vote in the legislature; 'aye' means yes and 'no' means no. A 'deciding vote' is one that changed the outcome. These are the candidate's actual recorded votes, linked to the official record.

🌸🌸MAMMOGRAM DAY!🌸🌸 GAIL'S LAW makes healthcare more AFFORDABLE for Wisconsin women and families! With the passage of this bill, diagnostic breast examinations and supplemental breast screening examinations will be covered by insurance with no cost sharing in Wisconsin. Many women, including me, have dense breast tissue. In fact, almost half of all women have this risk factor for cancer. Dense tissue can hide the presence of cancer in a mammogram, so often, an ultrasound or MRI is needed to properly screen. Gail's Law is a wise investment in early cancer detection that will not only save lives, it will help families avoid late stage treatment costs. This critical legislation would not have passed without the work of Gail Zeamer and her family and all of the fighters out there who never gave up, like Representative Cindi Duchow, Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara, Representative Nate Gustafson, and the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition. It has truly been an honor to lead on this bill with my colleagues.

🚨 HYPOCRISY ALERT 🚨 Jill Underly, who sent her own kids to private school, has officially called for the ELIMINATION of Wisconsin’s incredibly successful and popular school choice program. The elimination of this program would be detrimental for thousands of kids, who would be kicked out of the schools they love and forced back into failing public schools where over 90% of students cannot read. The primary benefactors of the school choice program? Black and Hispanic students living below the poverty line. Underly likes to talk a big game about equity, but apparently she does not believe that these kids deserve the same privileges that her own children enjoyed.

DISGUSTING 😡😡😡 The Governor’s budget bill ERASES MOTHERS AND FATHERS, referring to women as “inseminated person(s)” and fathers as “parent(s) who did not give birth.” This woke gender insanity is EXACTLY what millions of Americans voted against in November. Reducing millions of Wisconsin mothers to nothing more than ideologically driven, virtue signaling jargon like “inseminated person(s)” is not only deeply insulting, it’s anti-woman. Governor Evers is a former science teacher. It appears to me that he needs a refresher on basic biology, because the last time I checked only one gender is capable of giving birth. Governor Evers touts his tax-and-spend budget as “the most pro-kid budget in state history.” You cannot have a “pro-kid” budget while erasing parents. Governor Evers owes every mother in Wisconsin an apology for this degrading language.
